Türkiye-United Kingdom Health Business Forum
The “Türkiye-United Kingdom Health Business Forum” was held in Istanbul, hosted by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye and the British Embassy, and organized by International Health Services Inc. (USHAŞ). Hosted by the Deputy Minister of Health, Assoc. Prof. Tolga Tolunay, the forum brought together high-level government officials from both the Ministry of Health and the United Kingdom. Alongside public sector leaders, private sector representatives from both nations participated to negotiate strategic investment and cooperation opportunities.
The forum featured presentations from prominent figures of Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB), including President Prof. Erhan Akdoğan, Acting Vice President of TÜSEB and Head of Türkiye Biotechnology Institute (TBE) Assoc. Prof. Rabia Çakır Koç, Head of Türkiye Health Data Research and Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute (TÜYZE) Prof. Songül Varlı, and TBE researcher Asst. Prof. İmren Esentürk Güzel.
During the panel titled "Genomic Studies" within the framework of UK-Türkiye Cooperation in Digital Health, TÜSEB President Prof. Erhan Akdoğan and TBE Head Assoc. Prof. Çakır Koç briefed the UK representatives on TÜSEB’s mandates and its ongoing cutting-edge scientific initiatives, including digital technologies, genomic research, and pharmaceuticals.
