BİYAŞAM Training Series: Recombinant Protein Production in Prokaryotic Systems Training Successfully Conducted
The "Recombinant Protein Production in Prokaryotic Systems Training," organized as part of the BİYAŞAM Training Series by TÜSEB Türkiye Biotechnology Institute, was held on February 15-16, 2024, at the Biotechnological Pharmaceuticals and Vaccine Research, Development, and Training Centre (BİYAŞAM).
The training, attended by undergraduate and graduate students, was delivered by Dr. Serkan YAMAN, a researcher at TÜSEB Türkiye Biotechnology Institute, and Dr. Rizvan İMAMOĞLU, a researcher at TÜSEB Türkiye Cancer Institute.
Following theoretical sessions on recombinant DNA technologies, molecular cloning, and recombinant protein production in prokaryotic systems, the program concluded with practical laboratory stages. Participants engaged in the production, characterization, and purification of a model recombinant protein within a bacterial system.
