BİYAŞAM Training Series: Material Characterization Technologies (Online) Training Successfully Conducted

The "Material Characterization Technologies (Online) Training" was conducted on September 29, 2023, by Asst. Prof. Songül ULAĞ, a researcher at the TÜSEB Türkiye Biotechnology Institute, as part of the BİYAŞAM Training Series.

The design of innovative materials, particularly the characterization of properties such as biocompatibility and biodegradability for biomaterials, represents a prominent frontier in current research within the fields of material science, biotechnology, and nanotechnology. Attended by undergraduate and graduate students, alumni, and postdoctoral researchers, the training covered characterization techniques used to examine properties such as material shape, size, surface characteristics, stability, and composition.

Detailed information was provided on characterization methods for materials produced across various scientific disciplines, ranging from elemental analysis methods such as FTIR to imaging techniques like SEM and TEM. The session specifically focused on core topics, including the interpretation of data and graphical analysis most commonly encountered during modern characterization processes.
